How will my award pledge help SomethingToGive.org?
Your award donation will help prove a basic premise of SomethingToGive.org - that people from all walks of life will be willing to contribute fun, unique life experiences to reward volunteers.
How will my financial donation be used by SomethingToGive.org?
We can’t sugar coat this part - Building the website we are planning will not be cheap, even with a lot of donated work by wonderful programmers. Donations will help fund the development and administration of a beta website necessary to provide a working version to test our mission and vision. Our proof-of-concept will entail a limited rollout of the STG community, geographically focused in the Puget Sound, WA area.
I’m interested in finding volunteer organizations where I can earn credit hours now. Where do I go to learn more?
Once a Beta website is developed, a pilot program focused within the greater Seattle area will be launched to work out the details and prove the concept. If you would like to be a part of that Beta program, then post a reward pledge or wish and you will be kept in the loop. If you would like to start volunteering today, go to AllForGood.org and find something you want to help with.
I have some technology or other skill and would like to help make SomethingToGive.org a reality - can I help?
YES! - And earn some of the first 'credit hours' doing it! We are a small startup, and as anyone who has started a new company knows, there is way more work than there is time, people, or money to get it all done. When will SomethingToGive.org be ready for me to use?
Assuming we can meet our fundraising goals (you can help!) we have an aggressive timeline of becoming operational within 6-9 months. Follow us for updates and send your friends to this site so they can donate too and get us going.
